Mother and Child

I am very proud of this picture. It did not take very long to draw or color it, but it's the emotion in the picture that I am so proud of! It turned out just right. *satisfied sigh*

Anyways to explain the picture, this is the Lady Guinevere and her new baby girl, Aithne. They are characters from my novel that I have been working on for four years. Aithne is the main heroine, but her mother is a legend unto herself. She is the High Lady of the Gold Elves and fell in love with Aithne's father, Ahearn, who is in the line of forgotten kings. When she finds out she is pregnant, she makes the long and ultimately fatal journey to the White Towers to have her child born on the sacred shore. Here is the Lady Guinevere sharing one of the last few precious moments with her child before her untimely death. That is why she is so pale. But she loves her husband and daughter and throughout her life Aithne will constantly take strength from her mother who she looks to for wisdom and strength.

The picture itself was inspired by Bri-chan's Arwen and Son picture so I give that wonderful artist all the credit that is due. Lady Guinevere and Aithne are fully copyrighted to me and are not to be used nor recreated without my permission
